Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Assist Connect (“Assist Connect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI receptionist platform that answers calls, chats, and messages on behalf of the businesses that use our service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — whether you're a business running Assist Connect, or a customer calling or messaging a business that uses it.
By using Assist Connect, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. Two kinds of people this policy covers
Because of how Assist Connect works, this policy speaks to two different audiences:
- Business customers — the companies and individuals who sign up for an Assist Connect account to run their AI receptionist. We act as the data controller for your account, billing, and usage information.
- End customers — the people who call, chat, or message a business that uses Assist Connect. For their information, we act as a data processor on behalf of our business customer, who remains responsible for how that data is used and for informing their own customers (for example, that calls may be answered and recorded by AI).
2. Information we collect
Account & business information — name, email, phone number, business details, services and hours, and billing information when you create an account or subscribe to a plan.
Conversation data — call audio and recordings, voice transcripts, chat and WhatsApp messages, email content, caller/contact details (such as name and phone number), and appointment or booking details created during a conversation with your AI receptionist.
Usage & device data — log data, browser and device information, IP address, and how you interact with our dashboard and website, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
Payment information — handled directly by our payment processor. We store limited billing details (such as plan, invoice history, and card type/last four digits) but never full card numbers.
3. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the AI receptionist service.
- To answer calls and messages, transcribe conversations, book and manage appointments, and hand off to a human when needed.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send account, billing, and service-related communications.
- To monitor for abuse, secure our systems, and comply with legal obligations.
- To train and improve our AI models, using de-identified or aggregated data where possible, and only in line with your plan and account settings.
4. How we share information
We don't sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers we rely on to run Assist Connect — including voice and AI model providers, telephony and messaging carriers, cloud hosting, and payment processing — bound by contracts that limit their use of the data to providing that service.
- The business you contacted — if you're an end customer, your conversation and contact details are shared with the business you called or messaged, since that's the purpose of the call.
- Legal & safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Assist Connect, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same protections described here.
5. AI processing & call recording
Calls and chats handled by Assist Connect are processed by AI systems, and calls may be recorded and transcribed to power the service, provide analytics, and improve response quality. Business customers are responsible for providing any recording or AI-use disclosure required by law in their jurisdiction (for example, a call recording notice). AI responses are generated automatically and, while we work to keep them accurate, they may occasionally be wrong — businesses can configure human hand-off for anything sensitive or uncertain.
6. Data retention
We keep account and conversation data for as long as your account is active, plus a limited period afterward for legal, billing, and backup purposes. Business customers can request deletion of their account and associated conversation data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, restrict access on a role-based, need-to-know basis, and monitor our systems for unusual activity. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
8. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Business customers can manage most of this directly from account settings; end customers can contact the business they spoke with, or reach us directly using the details below and we'll route your request appropriately.
9. International data transfers
Assist Connect operates across multiple regions, so your information may be processed in a country other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.
10. Children's privacy
Assist Connect is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
11. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run our website and dashboard, and limited analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify account owners directly.
